==============================================================
Help, Inc. is a mission-driven 501(c)(3) organization focused on building and sustaining
strong communities. We achieve our mission by developing, financing, and operating high
quality affordable rental and for-sale housing, coordinating access to support services and
asset-building activities, and shaping community and economic initiatives critical to the
communities we serve.
Help Foundation is engaged in large-scale public, private and creative housing
redevelopments in cities throughout the United States. With 4,450 units in its active
development pipeline, Help Foundation produces a significant volume of economically
integrated, socially enterprise diverse housing. We favor a multi-disciplinary approach
and engagements of significant scale that can have a lasting impact. We specialize in
large-scale, private, public and creative housing redevelopment projects, transforming
distressed and foreclosed housing projects into anchors for multifaceted revitalization efforts.
Help Foundation works in collaboration with neighborhood groups, residents, public and
private agencies, and philanthropic interests. Becoming a long-term stakeholder in the
neighborhood, we create effective local implementation teams that combine neighborhood
understanding, technical skills, and managerial ability. Our carefully-considered investments
help local communities meet the challenge of housing affordability, and broaden the acceptance
of balanced housing options in our neighborhoods.
Help Foundation accomplishes this by leveraging investments in its revolving loan fund with
its own capital to make below-market rate loans to individuals and community-based
nonprofit organizations. These loans produce affordable and special needs housing,
community facilities such as childcare and senior centers, and nonprofit offices, and
economic development projects, which create jobs and help revitalize economically
stressed neighborhoods.
